Moving Day

So today we got an early start on moving across the street to our new site.  I got the inside packed up enough to move and Len got everything unhooked outside. He also got the firewood, chairs and barbecue moved. So we got the trailer hooked up, drove across the street into our new spot.  We got the trailer levelled side to side and then back to front, got it all hooked up, slides out and then Len started to put the firewood away under the trailer. I was cleaning up the all the goose poop and headed to the garbage bin and on the way back I was looking at the trailer and it looked like we were way too high on the passenger side. We were way off, for some reason the slides completely pull down on the opposite side and we had the we were up on wood so we were completely slanted.  So we had to unhook everything, bring the slides in, hook the truck back up. Move the trailer 2 feet forward, , take the wood out, back up and then before we unhooked everything we put the slides out and checked the level side to side. Perfect.  Luckily the rain stayed away all day until we had a fire and about an hour into it and it started.

We decided to go out for supper. Bedrocks is a local restaurant here in the marina that has excellent pizza. The crust is thin and is fantastic and they have some interesting combinations of toppings.

This is a wood carving statue that is in the restaurant. They have these wood carvings all over Winchester Bay and Reedsport. They do a wood carving contest every summer. The other one is a memorial to all the local people who have lost their lives to the ocean.
