Today we actually slept in until 7 am, so we still
had plenty of time to get ready for our owner update. The people at Seaside
were actually quite friendly, I didn’t think that they were really high
pressure, now Len on the other hand really enjoyed the breakfast. They had me convinced to sign on more points
but when it comes right down to it we are having difficulty using up the points
that we have so we won’t be buying anymore. So sitting with the sales people
took our entire morning so we decided to stay in Seaside for the day and go for
a walk along the beach and the promenade in front of the condo.
We saw the kite guy from yesterday, he was trying
to get the kite up again but it seemed that the wind was blowing the wrong way
and it wouldn’t stay up. So eventually he packed it up and went home.
Len got a great picture of the hotel from the
beach, this resort has over 200 rooms, it was very packed on the weekend but it
seems to thin out during the week.
As we walked down the promenade we found our new
home, it is 5 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, is over 5000 square feet. They only want
2.2 million for it but compared to the 19.2 million the house we saw in
California last year, this one is a deal and an ocean view is an ocean view. I
guess we will have to wait and see if our house sells first.
So we got an email from Ann and an update on Lindy.
She is at Ann & Lloyds now and she isn't to walk except to go pee and then
only on a leash. They have set up a kennel in Ann’s room so when Ann is on
computer Lindy and see her and won’t feel lonely. She isn't putting any weight
on that leg at all yet. The vet took the pain patch off and now she had to take
pain meds once a day at supper time. She needs to go in and see Rob once a week
for him to check her out. No stairs, no jumping, no running through the house. There
are very detailed written instructions for her recovery. Toby and Sparky came
in to see her and check her out. She seems happy to just lay and watch the
world go by. They said she was such a
good girl while she was at the vets. Dr MacLeod said she was tough dog, she
didn’t whimper or whine. So I am hoping that this continues. Well we are supposed to be
getting rain for day 5 so we are going to head to Tillamook for cheese and to
see the air museum.
This is the promanade that goes all the way from one end of town to the other. Lots of people ride their bikes or just walk along it.
This was the sunset last night.
The dog sitter has dibs on one of those bedrooms with an ocean view.
