On the road again!

So it has been awhile since I wrote in the blog. Since we have been home, I have just been doing stuff around the house.  I did manage to make a bunch of my treasure bags, just a few more to go so I have enough for all the kids I know.  I am getting a good assembly line going. My goal is to make 37 all together, I am half way done.

So as far as my knee goes, I am now on the second page of the waiting list. I told them that we were planning a trip the end of April beginning of May and they said it should be no problem, I will most likely have my surgery by the end of May, beginning of June.  It is still just a waiting game. So I said. Vegas Baby, here we come.

So today Len, Cousin Brenda and I hit the border at 7 am and headed to Las Vegas.  We are finally doing our Grand Canyon,Vegas trip that we had planned just before Covid lockdowns started.  We had planned almost a month long trip to explore Utah, Nevada and Arizona.  We won’t be a full month, just around three weeks, so not much exploring Utah.  We made it to one of condos in Eden Ut, just by Ogden, not far from Salt Lake.

Tomorrow we are going to go to Temple Square in Salt Lake and check out the lake. Depending on weather we might try and explore Zion and Bryce Canyon parks.  We bought a yearly national parks pass, so we can check out any national park, even if all we do is a drive thru.

It was a pretty uneventful trip, I90 and the I15.  It is one of the most boring drives I have done.  Once you see the mountains, there is not much else. We were very surprised at the amount of snow that was still around.  It is melting all over the roads but it is warm, so not freezing at night.
