Day One of Vegas Vacation

Well we hit the border at 8 am this morning and made our way South.  We hit light snow in Sandpoint and it turned to rain until Coeur de lane.  We had a lot of snow through Fourth of July pass and even more up Look Out Pass into Montana. There was at least 6 inches of snow at the rest area in Montana.  We kept going though and as we were pulling into Missoula it finally warmed up and we got rain. We had a late lunch at Five Guys, good burgers and fries and then kept heading East. It continued to be a mixed bag of weather. Len did a great job of driving, while I managed to knit four dishcloths. We arrived at Idaho Falls where we are currently tucked in at the Fairfield Inn. They had a Valentine's special, we got sparkling cider, chocolate and a rose. Hoping to check out the area tomorrow morning after breakfast and then off to Twin Falls, Jackpot and eventually Ely.
